SMOCs

SMOCs is short for "Sensor-based Motion Capture System". Unlike traditional camera based system, for example, Vicon, which needs a room full of high precision cameras and markers attached to a tight suit on people, SMOCs is aiming to use only sensors, like IMUs(Inertial Measurement Unit), to capture and reconstruct human motion in VR. Its main application is towards virtual stroke rehabilitation and assessment, where a patient will be able to wear the system and perform various VR rehabilitation tasks and keep track of their progress.
